Eddie's Knees
I always forget about Eddie’s knees.
I pray for peace, of course, I always pray
For peace, and always for the sorry souls
I see along the street whose lives unroll
And more and more impact me by degrees;
For friends as well, their joys and their regrets,
And Eddie, too, but somehow still forget
To say a little something for his knees.
