Beginners’ mind insight, mirror for Zen.
Intuitive eye, pointing light to Zen.
Breathing in breathing out, I know I am
heart listening tonight, feeling Zen.
Thoughts, feelings green light traffic passing through,
no self-seen, none to fight, full of Zen.
No coming, no going, no death to fear
buds and peat repeat flight, dharma of Zen.
Water wearing waves as all-weather clothes.
Silent sitting, mindful sight of Zen.
Blood orange sunset melting in the sea,
transcending day, including night, art of Zen.
My wind holds all I love right here, right now
no notions, no concepts, enlightened Zen.
