On the Edge of Osceola Forest – a poem by Pricilla Bettis

On the Edge of Osceola Forest

Invasive jasmine vine,
fragrant as the nard
that anoints Your feet,
white as the garment
of light that robes You—
climbs the scaled bark
of a grooved trunk
and strangles a longleaf pine.
